This position implements CU’s electric reliability compliance program and assesses compliance with all applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards across CU. This position also supports compliance efforts to meet Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements (information protection and Standards of Conduct) and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) governing documents.
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, information technology, or business is required. Two or more years of college or vocational/technical courses with progressively responsible electric utility or power system experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
Reliability Compliance Specialist - minimum of three years’ electric utility experience in engineering, auditing, information technology, or compliance is required. Engineering or information technology experience preferred.
Sr. Reliability Compliance Specialist - Minimum of five years’ progressively responsible electric utility experience in reliability compliance is required. Engineering or information technology experience preferred.
