The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and constructing industrial electrical equipment. The right candidate provides leadership and education in the zero-incident safety culture and assumes personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Support the safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Possesses the necessary license or identification card to meet all local, state, and government regulations.
Installs electrical wiring, conduit / cable equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and construction of electrical equipment and systems found in a residential/commercial setting through the proper use of standard cable wire, conduit, fittings, and hardware commonly used in settings.
Reads and understands conduit drawings, schematics, electrical drawings, and specifications.
Uses and cares for tools and equipment.
Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
Complies with all safety and the applicable safety handbook, leads, and educates fellow employees in the safe work ethics, practices, and behaviors.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Must possess direct knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Industrial experience required.
Possess a current and valid certification as a Journeyman Electrician.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Eligibility for employment is contingent upon passing a drug screening.
