In addition to a 150k gal activated sludge plant; the District also operates a state-of-the-art groundwater production system.
Successful candidates should have a stable work history, professional attitude, ability to resolve customer complaints, TCEQ C license, be committed to taking control of all District plant operations, and be willing to assist water/wastewater operators when necessary.
Duties will vary according to job assignment and skill level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and REQUIREMENTS
Operates, maintains, monitors, and adjusts all water processes and performs skilled work in the day-to-day operations of water wells and systems.
Control equipment including control panels, gauges, meters, and the SCADA system to ensure that federal and state quality standards are met.
Perform mathematical calculations for quantities, trends, times, distances, measures, and weights. Read and interpret maps, technical specifications, and operational manuals.
Complete TCEQ required compliance reports and turn in to the comptroller.
Assist maintenance personnel in maintaining and repairing District water facilities. Also includes utility repairs, repairs to main lines, taps, valves, and meters.
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs, have sufficient visual acuity, and full manual dexterity.
Must possess a valid Texas DL, High School Diploma or GED, and TCEQ Class C license. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and have a clean driving record.
