The Operations & Improvement Analyst for Pulmonary Services supports pulmonary programs to deliver high quality care and service to patients and team members. This position works closely with the Director of Pulmonary Services and managers to support the following programs: Cystic Fibrosis, Interventional Pulmonology, Pulmonary Function Testing, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and Respiratory Care. Primary areas of focus include patient outcomes, patient access to the health care delivery system, and financial stewardship.
Responsibilities include establishment and supervision of processes to achieve excellence in all aspects of patient care while ensuring responsible management of resources. Supports data management across areas of responsibility through establishing systems for collecting data, monitoring trends, analyzing and interpreting data, summarizing findings, and identifying areas of concern. Develops corresponding reports, dashboards, presentation and action plans. The Operations & Improvement Analyst will also provide recommendations on complex issues of operation, efficiency and program development. In collaboration with Director, will also support daily operations, strategic planning, capital equipment planning and acquisition process, project management, and policy review and development.
Bachelor's Degree in nursing or other healthcare professional; or a combination of comparable education and/or experience.
A minimum of three (3) or more years of relevant experience.
Experience and proven success in QI standards, clinical chart review and abstraction, and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to manage time, lead projects, organize competing priorities and attend to urgent issues as they arise.
Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to clearly communicate complex data and ideas verbally and in writing.
Experience and training in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
