What you’ll be doing...
The Project Manager position is responsible for overseeing the PICs and FSL lines of business for Verizon. Responsibilities are including but not limited to the pick, pack and ship operation. You will be working cross functionally with planning and field teams to streamline the process flow. In addition, you will be overseeing multiple 3PL vendors to ensure seamless communication. Ensure the continuous evaluation and systems development to support real time inventory accuracy based on Verizon accounting and compliance requirements. Establish robust KPI's and reporting tools to ensure product is in the right place and the right time to meet customer commitments at the lowest cost to the business.
Develop strategies and processes to measure and ensure the security of the inventory on-site at the 3PL's.
Ensure the adequate controls are in place to minimize shrink at the distribution center and FSL’s.
Develop and implement corrective action plans, with DC & internal/external audit teams.
Develop processes to ensure accuracy of the Verizon Inventory System’s (SAP and COEP) to the 3PL’s warehouse management system and physical inventory on the floor.
Manage inbound discrepancies with original equipment manufacturing vendors (OEMs) and establish new processes to reduce the number and hold them accountable to SLA's.
Identify opportunity for and lead IT infrastructure implementation and development.
Oversee inventory positioning between the FSL’s, to minimize customer impact, ensuring that the inventory is properly balanced throughout the network, while managing logistics costs.
Support Inventory Planning team in the inventory balancing and reconciliations.
Partner with the field teams to identify continuous improvement processes.
Partner with 3PL’s too closely manage the forward and reverse process flow Ensure transit time metrics are maintained, carrier performance is being evaluated, and constrained product is expedited.
Manage receiving at the DC's and FSL’s to ensure that priority receipts are properly expedited and that all service level agreements for receiving are met.
Develop and launch new technology to support advanced shipping notification reporting from vendors.
Support new product launches, by working with cross functional teams to ensure timely inbound receipts.
Ensure DC staffing is maintained to handle inbound schedule and volumes.
Evaluate, design, and improve the efficiency of the inbound receiving processes at the DC and FSL’s. Ensure that the 3PL is following best practices.
Manage and monitor inbound pallets trends by 3PL's. Identify changes and adjust plan to support growth and seamless execution.
Oversee receiving discrepancy process at all FSL’s and DC's, by working closely with the rest of the VZ management team, 3PL's, vendor compliance team, and OEMs.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Availability to work flexible hours and schedule.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business.
MBA or Master's degree.
Experience in Supply Chain and 3PL management.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with internal and external teams.
Experience leading cross functional teams.
Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Forward thinking and analytical skills.
Capability to function in a fast paced and fast changing environment.
Strong problem solving skills and ability to implement process improvements.
Demonstrated ability to partner with internal and external vendors.
Demonstrated ability to lead large scale projects and handle multiple tasks to meet required deadlines on time.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and follow up skills.

Proven ability to communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.
