The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for a Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment (LPSOE) position beginning the 2021/22 academic year. Appointment as a LPSOE requires evidence of a long-standing record of exceptional undergraduate teaching, professional achievement, and service to the academic community. An LPSOE is a member of the academic senate and will be expected to teach six quarter-based classes per year. Preferred qualifications include: * Professional engineering licensure * UCR is a world-class research university with an exceptionally diverse undergraduate student body. A commitment to this mission is a preferred qualification. * The search places strong emphasis on candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusiveness in teaching, research, and service, as well as a commitment to broadening participation for women and other underrepresented groups in Chemical and Environmental Engineering. * A minimum of 3 years of experience as an undergraduate course instructor in an ABET-accredited Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering program. * A demonstrated record of high-quality and innovative teaching in a wide variety of undergraduate Chemical and Environmental Engineering courses. * A demonstrated record of teaching in capstone senior design courses, as well as successful engagement with sponsors to generate support for senior design projects. * Experience in advising undergraduate students in course selection and career development is strongly preferred. * At least 1.5 years of prior work experience in Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering in an academic or industry setting.

A Ph.D. in either chemical engineering, environmental engineering or a related area is required at the time of employment.
