ENGINEERING MANAGER , Facilities Central Utilities Plant (CUP) , to be responsible for plant engineering, environmental compliance, operations and maintenance support, project management, and commodities budgeting. Will serve as a resource for plant personnel to assist in the safe, effective, and efficient operation of the facility; and monitor and track the thermodynamic and operational performance of the plant using PI systems and collect/analyze data, track, and trend performance of component equipment, including turbines, generators, HRSGs, boilers, large pumps, condenser, cooling towers and chillers. The goals will be to improve plant performance and reliability through the management and coordination of non- maintenance and engineering activities.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor of science degree in engineering and combined heat and power (CHP) facility experience; at least ten years of relevant experience; demonstrated skill with plant performance improvement, environmental compliance and safety, and electrical distribution systems; working knowledge of plant engineering processes and ability to assist with ongoing technical development and the review of plant engineering processes and diagnostics of plant equipment; strong management, leadership, and motivational skills; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to large groups; strong analytical, business-case development, and time-management skills. PREFERRED : experience with the operations of power generating facilities and transmission systems, experience with combined cycle or steam cycle plants, and a PE license. Job #19883-11
