Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. Our division also provides critical operations design and handles capital markets operations to ensure business flows smoothly across our global offices. Tax Operations is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm's compliance with reporting authorities around the globe and managing related inquiries from a variety of the firm's businesses across established and emerging markets. Day-to-day production functions include accurate and timely account documentation and monitoring, withholding, client information reporting, and regulatory filings. The team also provides critical subject matter expertise and functionally-aligned support during the design, testing and implementation of related systems and processes. The team capitalizes on opportunities to optimize procedures and build scalability through data analytics and efficient use of technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

You will act as a risk manager for the firm through ongoing assessment and awareness of the tax regulatory environment and the firm's adherence to its tax regulatory obligations.
Industrialise and automate processes and ensure effective controls are implemented.
Develop and manage a team of 12 individuals.
Perform impact assessments on processes for new markets, new products, business reorganizations, system changes and regulations.
Ability to develop a deep understanding of the tax functions and environment as well understanding of evolving tax landscape in the region
Review and interpret market updates to evaluate impact and outline operational proposals as to how we should adapt to that change.
Partner with key stakeholders within Operations, F2B business, Corporate Tax and Engineering

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant Industry experience in trade processing / custody operations.
Strong analytical, problem solving skills with an ability to understand complex workflows.
Results orientated - ability to balance multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer term, strategic focus.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence senior business stakeholders and make decisions.
Strong attention to detail.
People Management and Coaching
Proactive and self-starting individual with high level of ownership.
Proven track record of improving processes and demonstrating successful teamwork
Flexibility and ability to learn quickly.
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills essential.
Risk Management - Partner with the regional management team to provide effective oversight. Challenge the risk and control framework to further enhance the control environment.
Strategy - Contribute in the definition, execution and review to increase scalability, stay ahead of regulatory change and deliver on client demands.
