This position is remote and based in the United States.
The Associate Director of Recruitment and Sales for Youth Programs works closely with the Vice President for Innovation, Strategy, and Partnerships to develop and implement effective outreach and recruitment strategies for Experiment in International Living (Experiment) summer high school programs and will be responsible for attaining annual enrollment targets. This 12-month, full-time position will be responsible for designing sales campaigns for target audiences and executing recruitment strategies to grow awareness of Experiment programs and generate leads through effective outreach. This person will serve as a unit leader and be responsible for planning and attending outreach events, conducting school visits, and hosting student and parent information sessions in key areas and districts to generate inquiries and leads that will then be nurtured by dedicated admissions counselors. The Associate Director of Recruitment and Sales will research and identity markets for program promotion and will work in coordination with World Learning’s Marketing and Communications team, Experiment Admissions Counselors, and the Manager of Sponsored Programs and reports to the Vice President for Innovation, Strategy, and Partnerships at School for International Training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement, with the Vice President for Innovation, Strategy, and Partnerships, a nationwide strategic recruitment and sales plan, translating higher level institutional priorities into outreach and recruitment goals and activities.
Conduct direct student recruitment and increase program awareness through proactive and holistic student contact through virtual and in-person outreach events like summer international opportunities fairs, presentations, information sessions for students and parents, and meeting with interested stakeholders. This position will require travel during the primary recruitment cycle (as many as 8-10 days per month during fall and spring recruitment).
Serve as the primary liaison for exiting partner secondary schools and districts, administrators, and educators and maintain frequent communication to effectively manage the partnership.
Cultivate new relationships with secondary schools and their teachers and staff, as well as other organizations with high-school membership and participants.
Conduct market research to identify new recruitment opportunities and cultivate relationships with new potential partners to promote Experiment programs.
Ensure effective utilization of Salesforce CRM for relationship-building, partner relations, and recruitment activities.
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team (MARCOM) on the development of marketing assets as well as manage printed materials, email communications, social media, and other marketing messages for target audiences. Assist in developing strategies and materials for specific constituents, such as teachers, parents, mentors, and guidance counselors as well as Experiment alumni still in secondary school.
Develop effective presentations to promote Experiment programs to prospective students, institutional partners, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
Be able to speak knowledgably about financial aid and scholarship opportunities offered by Experiment.
Submit regular recruitment reports and updated outreach and sales plans annually.
In cooperation with department staff and others, evaluate previous recruitment efforts.
Represent Experiment in International Living at professional association meetings and conferences, as determined with the Vice President for Innovation, Strategy, and Partnerships.
Track and analyze enrollment in youth programs, standard policies, and trends in the industry and within the field of international youth exchange programs.

Master’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
A minimum of five years of student recruitment, sales, admissions, or secondary education experience.
Experience working with youth or in advising/counseling of students.
Strong and proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Familiarity with and understanding of international youth, high school, or gap programs.
Demonstrated ability to translate institutional priorities into implementation of team goals.
Proven excellence in relationship development and enrollment growth.
Experience developing sales goals, defining strategies to achieve them, and implementing sales or recruitment plans.
Professional presence and strong networking, communication, and public speaking skills.
Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and oral and written English communication skills.
Strong skills in CRM and data analysis; ability to use technology as a management tool.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly, domestically, while maintaining rigorous work schedule.
Self-motivation, creativity, and the ability to work independently on multiple long-term projects.
Organized and detail-oriented; able to move between detail and big picture.
Previous international study/living/working experience.
Valid US driver’s license and ability to travel independently.
Occasional physical activities such as lifting boxes of 25-30 pounds, arranging chairs/tables in conference room settings.
Experience with Salesforce and using a CRM system to reach recruitment goals.
Familiarity with Experiment programs.
