Hazard Community & Technical College is seeking applicants for a part time Lineman instructor. This position will be responsible for the instruction course and provide assistance through the testing process.
Duties to include, but may not be limited to:
Provide instruction for 8 week utility lineman course (2-3 courses per year). Instruction to include construction of power lines, set new utility poles, operation of utility trucks to include bucket and digger, pole top rescue, identification of construction materials and other topics as needed.
Maintain attendance and grades for students.
Provide a safe learning environment adhering to all OSHA and institutional safety guidelines and policies.
Market students and program to potential employers for job placement of students.
5-10 years of utility experience, preferably specific to power. Fiber optic experience is a plus.
GED or High School diploma required.
