The HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting the research, analysis, reconciliation and response to earnings and EPAF related payroll production issues. The position will work independently to interpret applicable current university policies and procedures and make accurate applications and apply them correctly.
Interpret and apply all university policies and procedures that relate to HRIS data integrity and processes
Assist with the resolution of individual and group pay issues such as merit increases, one time payments, contracts, etc and how they apply to production cycles
Manage individual workflow to coincide with numerous payroll production cycles and deadlines. Is responsible for coordinating activities in accordance with various payroll-related deadlines
Manage special mass processes including adjunct faculty pay, union increases and other data testing and upload processes requiring significant planning and coordination with academic schools and administrative departments throughout the University
Assist in the review and approval of reports for validation of incoming HRIS data from various home departments. Assist in post-production payroll processing
Work collaboratively with home departments to resolve any outstanding issues
Support the preparation of HRIS related analysis and reports by researching, compiling, analyzing, and verifying data
Assist with the formulation and application resolution to workflow issues
Work closely with other HR Departments for various employee issues and staff changes
Analyze and report HR metrics data
Fiscal Year End Roll: New salary group setting. Create Fiscal Year End Roll rule. Run the roll process and review the output files
Union salary increase roll. Monitor and input the new salary amount for each salary grade and step
Experience & Education Background:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR Management, Technology or related field
Minimum of 1 to 2 years prior direct related experience
An equivalent combination of education and prior related experience will also be considered
Skills & Competencies:
Work within an integrated work environment and understand the interconnectivity of workflow processing. Self-manage numerous workflow streams depending on payroll cycle
Must be able to manage numerous deadlines and communicate well both verbally and in writing
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel
Use Adobe Pro to create PDF files is a plus
SQL, queries and oracle database, and Banner are a big help
Ability to quickly learn and utilize new systems
Demonstrated outstanding skills in service delivery
