Master's and 2 years experience Experience working under a sales/territory management model. Experience using a CRM to support recruitment efforts, Salesforce preferred. Experience conducting engaging virtual and in-person presentations in a professional setting. Experience in one of the following: public speaking, sales, or as a volunteer or employee within student affairs. Experience with admissions recruitment processes and procedures. Experience planning OR conducting OR assisting with recruitment or outreach events. Experience or education which demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.
The Office of Admissions fulfills Iowa State Universityâs land grant mission by attracting, recruiting, orienting, and enrolling a diverse group of new undergraduate students to meet the universityâs enrollment targets. The Office of Admissions at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for 3 Regional Admissions Counselor positions.
As a territory manager, the Regional Admissions Counselorâs purpose is to attract, recruit and enroll prospective students to the university through a variety of methods, including visiting high schools and community colleges, attending college fairs, conducting enrollment presentations, managing recruitment correspondence through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and coordinating and assisting with on- and off-campus recruitment programs. The Regional Admissions Counselor communicates daily with prospective students and families and will manage events designed to develop relationships with high school and community college counselors. This position will also support the broader mission of the Office of Admissions by assisting with general recruitment, including, but not limited to, campus visit days, and events hosted by New Student Programs, such as Orientation and Destination Iowa State activities.
These positions offer a unique opportunity to expand Iowa State Universityâs out-of-state recruitment efforts either in Minnesota, the Heartland, or Mid-Atlantic Regions of the United States. The current Minnesota territory focuses on Minneapolis, Western Suburbs of the Twin Cities, and Greater Minnesota. The current Heartland territory that will be covered by this position is the states of Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Southern Illinois with residents expected to live in Kansas City or St. Louis metro (or near a major airport). The current Mid-Atlantic territory will cover the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Virginia. The incumbent must live in this region and be near a major airport or train. Territory assignment will be based on business needs and could change annually.
