The UTK Human Resources Office provides services to faculty, staff, student and temporary employees. Recruits, screens and refers qualified candidates to hiring departments for further consideration
Partners with departments to provide guidance on the hiring process including explanation of recruitment-related policies and procedures, posting positions, candidate screening, interviewing strategies
Counsels employees affected by reduction in force
Communicates with candidates concerning specific vacancies, job qualifications, resume assistance, salary concerns and benefits information
Extends job offers to new hires, processes new hire paperwork and coordinates on-boarding
Participates in community events such as career fairs, workshops, and assisted placement services
Develops and facilitates training programs
