General Purpose of Job This position is responsible for providing effective direction of the programs responsible for the inspection of facilities installed as part of construction work orders and periodic inspection programs of existing facilities to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards, including but not limited to, National Electric Safety Code, RUS, SECO specifications and safety guidelines; and to provide oversight to construction and maintenance activities performed by the Cooperative’s contractors to ensure compliance with all engineering, construction, and financial standards.
Minimum 10 years of significant and relevant experience in electric system design, distribution line construction, or construction inspection with an electric utility, consultant, or construction firm. Experience with RUS construction standards and materials. Proficient in the use of personal computers and knowledgeable in MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel. If not proficient.
