The Assessment & Testing Department of Jefferson Community & Technical College has an immediate opening for a full-time Testing Assistant at the Downtown Campus.
Under the direction of the Director of Assessment, the Testing Assistant will play an integral role in the department by performing a variety of specialized and general clerical and office duties in support of Academic and Workforce testing programs, functions, and college goals.
Perform a full range of general clerical duties in primary support of Assessment & Testing operations to include but not limited to: maintain office supplies and testing materials, maintain electronic calendar for the testing center and staff, maintain a wide variety of documents and forms.
Maintenance of electronic document imaging and record retention by daily scanning and indexing according to prescribed specifications.
Assist with daily data entry, maintenance of testing appointments.
Provide excellent customer service, information, assistance and referrals via telephone, email, personal, and or virtual interaction to our geographically, ethnically, and socially diverse population of students, staff, faculty, and community partners.
Assist in the explanation and enforcement of assessment policies, procedures, and expectations before, during, and after testing, ensuring all testing services provided are in accordance with institutional and vendor regulations and standards, interprets and explains test results, placement, and/or next steps to each tester as required.
Provide diligent supervision to maintain an appropriate testing atmosphere, ensure academic integrity and exam safety by monitoring tester behavior using surveillance cameras and a physical presence in the testing rooms. Reports and prepares documentation on each suspected incidence of cheating or academic dishonesty observed.
Provide technical assistance to testers during exam administration; troubleshooting general software, computer, or network related problems; consults with Assessment and IT staff as appropriate to resolve issues.
May require travel to other campuses in addition to evening and/or weekend hours.

Salary: $27,600 (annually)
Associate's Degree and two years related experience, or equivalent. Candidates should have experience in an office or Business setting and should have experience and sensitivity working with students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
