The Director Ambulatory Services and Business Process reports to the Executive Administrator of Ambulatory Services and is responsible for the duties related to front end revenue cycle performance, director the ambulatory float pool and provide sourcing support and direction for USC Care.Â This position also provides a wide range of project management functions required to reengineer the ambulatory practices and outpatient services to improve patient flow and maximize the efficiency of clinical operations.Â This individual will also be responsible for developing strategic and business plans for various ambulatory services and programs, aligning faculty and staff, and working with our IT partners in developing strategic initiatives that optimize the patient experience.Â Facilitates service delivery for Ambulatory Service Float Team, including, but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, administration of USC Care/Keck Medicine policies, programs and practices, performance management, & training. Has management responsibility for assigned staff. Serves as a key member of the Ambulatory Services team. Â
Minimum Education: â¢Bachelorâs degree or 10 years of related equivalent experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.â¢Masterâs Degree preferred; MHA, MBA or related field.Minimum Experience/Knowledge â¢At least 7 yearsâ Ambulatory business operations with 5 years progressive management experience preferably in an academic medical center with medical center â¢Demonstrated professional experience, including responsibility for multiple large, complex and sensitive projects. â¢Must be able to assume a high degree of independent functioning, demonstrating prudent decision making, autonomy and flexibility.â¢Ability to plan, initiate, organize, and prioritize assignments; work independently to complete assignments despite competing requirements and deadlines.â¢Ability to resolve escalated issues arising from operations and demonstrated ability to collaborate/ coordinate with other departments â¢Advanced skill in computer programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project required.â¢Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
