Clean patient rooms and/or offices thoroughly by mopping floors, washing furniture, scrubbing plastic cushions, frames and cleaning and washingba throom fixtures and walls.Clean drinking fountains, ice-making machines and sand urns; cleanblinds with damp cloth or vacuum.Report repairs need ed to supervisors including broken or cracked windowpanes, leaky faucets , toilets, loosetiles, broken blinds and damagedfurniture.Follow all un iversal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures anduse personal pro tective equipment as needed while cleaning patient careareas.May dust mo p, wax and buff floors and shampoos carpets.May be required to perform ' Seven Step' cleaning of all surgical areas,wall cleaning, machine scrubb ing of floors (no finish) and related taskswith particular attention to specialized needs in the surgical area.Perform related duties as assigne d.
