This position will assist the operations, accounting and grants staff to manage and track grants, subcontracts, payments, insurance requests and other agreements for numerous international infectious disease clinical trials. The candidate will develop workflows, identify issues, and resolve issues with operational and financial processes. This position will report to the Operations Lead. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in global health and infectious disease, clinical research and working in a collaborative, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions or Job Duties Research/Operations and Programmatic Projects (50%) • Develop and lead implementation of administrative processes supporting clinical research, including the tracking of approximately 50 current subcontract agreements • Manage clinical insurance requests, tracking initial request completion and requested policy amendments • Collaborate with Operations lead on the execution of regulatory agreements, such as material transfer agreements, letters of delegation • Communicate directly and effectively with external and UMN partners to trouble-shoot and carry out duties as described above
Finance (40%) • Recommend, design and implement improved systems for tracking services and payments • Monitor contract payments according to project payment schedule and execution of subcontracts • Track payments against award totals, assisting in the identification of re-budgeting needs and working with the team to facilitate the re-budgets • Drive sponsor modifications to research awards from request to completion, identifying divisional and other UMN personnel who should be involved and effectively, efficiently coordinate our response to the sponsor • Manage payments for consulting and other service contracts
Other Duties, As Assigned (10%)
Salary range: $42,000-$50,000 dependent upon degree of qualifications.

Required Qualifications • BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal a minimum of four years • Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to multi-task and track multiple simultaneous projects
