The Clinical Research Operations Manager oversees the operations and development of the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) Clinical Research program. Under the direction of the Research Manager and DEM Leadership Team, the Clinical Research Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical research program, strategic planning, along with ensuring all reporting and study milestones are met including recruitment targets, data entry timelines, budget and sponsor requirements. The Clinical Research Operations Manager will be a proven leader. The individual will utilize leadership skills and training experience to provide operational leadership to a group of research staff (including CRCs, Senior CRCs, etc.). In addition, the individual will interface with other research investigators, faculty, trainees and staff to ensure that study commitments are met.
The Clinical Research Operations Manager is expected to manage the entire problem-solving process: gather and sort information, identify potential solutions and present the finished product in the form of a written recommendation or completed project. In addition, it is the responsibility of the individual to apply certain knowledge and training expertise to anticipate issues before they arise, reprioritize, anticipate the needs of involved parties and initiate action independently to resolve those issues and solve problems. This position requires a high level of professionalism and diplomacy.
