Direct planning and management of administrative services for the Department of Planning and Construction. Assist the Assistant Vice President with development of organizational changes, policies, procedures, and guidelines in support of programs and services. Develop and oversee implementation of capital construction policies, procedures and project templates. Direct development and implementation of a comprehensive project management system for the department and individual project managers. Determine and enforce standard procedures for evaluation of proposals, bids, and contractor performance. Consult with senior University officials and outside consultants on interpretation and compliance with government regulations, policies and procedures.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering
Required Experience: 10+ years' progressively responsible project management experience within a large organization including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education institution.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: In-depth knowledge of a broad range of planning and construction principles and practices. Proven ability to plan and implement long-term strategies for managing complex projects and resources. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse population.
