The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Risk Manager to join our Quality and Risk Management team in NE Portland. This position will sometimes travel to our clinics in the Portland Metropolitan area, but some remote work is available. Must live in Oregon or SW Washington and be able to come to the office as needed. The Risk Manager is responsible for supporting the organizational strategic goals and objectives related to clinical risk management and patient safety. Responsibilities will include administering, investigating and reporting on the adverse event reporting system, collaborating with department managers and safety members to review safety reports/visitor events/infrastructure failures, leading the Safety Committee, and participating in the physician wellness and peer support program. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, Business or other related field and has at least 3 years' experience in a healthcare organization or healthcare related field. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, strong at multi-tasking and who has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Starting pay range, depending on license and experience: $36.85 - $50.67 per hour.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, Business or other related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare organization or healthcare related field
2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred
Knowledge of clinical operations in ambulatory care preferred
Knowledge of current state, federal and local laws governing the delivery of care
Knowledge of basic information technology and computer applications
Must be detail oriented, have ability to multitask and possess great interpersonal skills
Skill in prioritization and cognitive reasoning
Ability to communicate clearly to patients, staff and physicians
Ability to collect data, establish facts, define problems and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all information related to patients and medical staff and comply with all applicable infection prevention and safety/OSHA procedures
