Student Disability Services is seeking an experienced professional in the role of Administrative Assistant II, who will be responsible for the administrative, customer service and business operations of the front office. The incumbent will report to the department Director and support five professional staff members. This position requires morning office opening and in-person administrative support in a fast-paced office environment.
Processing intake/registration of students, scanning and filing documents, scheduling appointments and maintaining file and database systems
Assisting in training and supervising student office workers and testing proctors
Supporting the Director and office staff, including: scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, processing invoices, payments, travel, contracts and expense reporting
Performing other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Three years of experience providing administrative support
MS Office computer software (Word and Excel) experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
AA or BA Degree highly preferred
Computer software experience using Google Suite applications and Adobe Acrobat
Financial business transactions work experience (invoices, payments, accounting, reconciliation, etc.)
Higher education, diversity, inclusion, medical or health-related office experience desired
Experience in using data management software (e.g. PeopleSoft) highly desired
