Assist the Co-PI's in a clerical and managerial capacity in all aspects of the African Poetry
Handle all arrangements of meetings related to the African Poetry Digital Portal.
Manage and update the calendar of the Co-PI's as it relates to the African Poetry Digital
Coordinate all project-related event programing.
Manage the hiring of student researchers (Research Assistants, Graduate Researchers,
Coordinate payment stipends, salaries, and sub-grants through the Oldfather Business Cooperative.
Coordinate all publicity (print and digital, and social media) materials for the project.
Manage the project milestones and deliverables.
Book all venues for various events of the African Poetry Digital Portal.
Make all travel arrangements related to the African Poetry Digital Portal.
Handle all communication (phone, email, etc.) related to the African Poetry Digital Portal.
Coordinate the planning of the Collections Planning Meeting.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years' relevant experience; equivalent education/experience will be considered.
Work history will demonstrate:
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Ability to utilize materials and supplies, and to operate basic office equipment, including faxing, copying, etc.
Excellent writing skills and proven experience in written communication by e-mail and by regular mail.
Thorough knowledge and application of computers, including typical office software
Excellent budgeting, accounting, and fiscal management skills
Be a self-starter, dependable, creative, and able to multi-task.
Willingness to work with a variety of customers, both students, university personnel, and the general public.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information appropriately.
Ability to schedule working hours around a varied international timetable.
Experience with international affairs or working with professionals from non-American societies is required.
Experience with or knowledge of the field of Digital Humanities preferred.
Knowledge of the university environment and resources.
The ideal candidate may have a Master's degree in accounting or a business-related field. Experience in a customer service or office setting is preferred. Experience working on managing special projects budgets. The ability to handle multiple financial aspects.
