The position is part of an inter-disciplinary human resources team serving the Institute of Ag and Natural Resources (IANR) within the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). The primary focus areas of this position will be employee relations as well as faculty recruitment. This position will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing efficient, innovative and effective human resources programs and services to serve IANR's rapidly evolving strategic priorities. Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of related human resources work experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience must demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to be a self-starter and work independently. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Knowledge of payroll and/or human resources terminology and practices.
PHR or SHRM-CP Certification. Experience in conflict resolution and/or mediation. Experience with SAP or large integrated finance or human resources system. Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices. Data management and analysis experience.
