Who We Are Looking For:
To support our ongoing growth, Woodard & Curran has a unique opportunity for a talented Senior Air Quality Consultant to lead projects and teams in our California market. The overall objective of this senior position is to grow our air quality services in California. As a senior leader within the Compliance Services team, you will be responsible for selling and consulting on air quality and climate change projects and building a sustainable business in California while collaborating with our Air Quality practice team. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with multiple companies to expand our compliance services across industrial sectors in California.
The major responsibilities for this position include:
Serving as a senior air quality consultant for strategic air permits and compliance programs for a variety of clients with complex technical/regulatory issues.
Working closely with clients developing and expanding strong relationships.
Contributing to expanding Woodard & Curran’s air consulting services. Identifying and developing new opportunities, preparing proposals, and taking active leadership role in the development of new business with new and existing clients.
Capitalizing on existing client relationships to expand Woodard & Curran’s profile and presence in the California Air Quality & Climate Change market.
Mentoring junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning and execution of air quality projects, and in directing or conducting independent technical reviews of deliverable work products.
Supporting the general growth and development of Woodard & Curran’s Air Quality and Climate Change services. Collaborating with other Woodard & Curran practitioners across the country to execute air quality projects.
Developing a working understanding of Woodard & Curran’s other consulting service areas and actively supporting cross-selling other services to existing clients.
BS in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental) or related discipline; MS and PE preferred.
15+ years of air quality consulting experience, with a high degree of technical competence in Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, and MACT.
In-depth understanding of California air regulatory programs
Strong existing relationships with California clients.
Well established reputation and recognized technical expertise by regulators.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
