POSITION SUMMARY The Supervisor, Talent Acquisition develops and implements strategic talent acquisition plans designed to fulfill the College's staffing needs and supervises the work of the Talent Acquisition Partners at the College. The Supervisor, Talent Acquisition is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and screening potential candidates, as appropriate and ensuring all steps of the pre-employment process are complete for hired candidates. This role is also responsible for ensuring a positive and effective candidate journey as it relates to the overall candidate and onboarding experience at the College.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Operational Leadership Provides daily leadership, strategy, general direction, and mentorship to the Talent Acquisition Partners. Supports and assists with training new Talent Acquisition Partners. Provides direction and guidance regarding the applicant tracking system, the Candidate Experience, hiring standards, and operations.
Supervises the daily workflow of the Talent Acquisition team, inclusive of creating standard operating procedures to be approved by department leadership and providing training/guidance for hiring managers. Supervises assigned staff in the performance of job duties and responsibilities. Assigns and delegates tasks, provides direction, resolves work problems, communicates job expectations, trains employees, and develops professional growth opportunities.
Carries out, explains, interprets, and enforces policies. Conducts annual employee evaluations and recommends pay increases, promotions, and other personnel actions. Approves leaves and authorizes overtime as appropriate. Participates in the employee selection process. Administers disciplinary actions upon approval and in collaboration with Human Resources.
Recruiting Reviews resumes/applications to identify qualified candidates for vacant or new positions, conducts screening interviews and required testing, completes reference and background checks, and forwards qualified job candidates to the appropriate Hiring Manager. Oversees and is responsible for job postings, external advertising, screening interviews, required testing, and tracking the candidate journey.
Completes and processes new hire information, schedules pre-employment screenings, works closely with appropriate departments concerning incoming employees, and coordinates with the Employee Engagement & Belonging team to implement new hire orientation that ensures a successful candidate onboarding experience. Ensures employee files are complete and forwards all necessary HRIS information for hire to the appropriate area for processing and entry into the HR database in a timely fashion.
Support & Training
Participates in HR projects, such as researching best practices related to HR issues, policies, and programs, develops and produces various reports, develops staffing and briefing materials, plans and prepares materials for and/or participates in special events or programs. Assists and/or facilitates training specific to the Talent Acquisition team and HR department.

Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with diverse groups and communities. Partners strategically with Talent Acquisition to ensure the best Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion practices are utilized in hiring, resulting in the hiring and retention of a diverse faculty and staff. Helps to ensure the College meets its responsibilities in identifying problem areas and systemic concerns while reporting complaints alleging discrimination.
Takes responsibility for creating a welcoming, inclusive, and productive work environment where employees feel valued and able to contribute to their full potential, regardless of their differences. Assists with conducting workforce analytics to identify potential inhibitors of a workplace environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Attends departmental, divisional, and unit staff meetings consistently. May be required to be available through a mobile device via voice and/or data during and outside normal working hours at the manager's discretion, and must respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Manages multiple assignments of varying complexity while meeting federal, state, and internal policies and regulations with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the College and business partners.
Knowledge of: federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to employment; employment law specifically related to staffing and recruiting practices; recruiting trends and technologies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, specifically in the area of Talent Acquisition, and two (2) of those years must be leading teams
State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
