As the assistant you will work closely with the superintendents on a daily basis. You will also be able to fill in for the Superintendents during their absence.
Job responsibilities include
Daily course setup
Daily course maintenance
Chemical/Fertilizer calibration and application
Irrigation setup, control, and moisture management
Tournament setup when required
Assist in planning and execution of various projects
Certificate, 2 or 4 year degree in related field
Minimum of two years of golf course maintenance experience required
Possess or be able to obtain a Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator’s License within the first 6 weeks of start date
Prior experience with fertilizer and pesticide applications recommended
Highly motivated, responsible and flexible
Strong communication skills required, ability to speak Spanish a plus
Able to supervise in the absence of superintendent
Individual must be hands on and ready for any task
