Description: The Admissions Office at Pratt Institute is seeking an Assistant Director of Recruitment who will serve in a unique leadership role balancing responsibilities between in-person recruitment efforts, digital marketing initiatives and funnel yield activities. The successful candidate for this position will engage in all aspects of the office's recruitment and enrollment work. This includes travel to recruitment events across the country and abroad; conducting portfolio reviews and information sessions; as well as building relationships with prospective students, families and high school educators. The Assistant Director will be assigned a specific prospect and applicant pool and will be responsible for managing the pool's progress through the admissions funnel. This position will also manage, assist, and inform digital and social media marketing for admissions. Under the supervision of the Director of Recruitment, the assistant director will research market trends, conduct data analysis, and assist in the creation of content and copy for web and social media. The position serves as a liaison to the Office of Communications and Marketing, assisting with the management, timeline, and coordination of projects with key partners in that office.
On a typical day you will be required to:
Participate in the development of the over-all digital and social media recruitment/marketing plans for undergraduate and graduates throughout the admissions and recruitment cycles for campuses in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Utica, NY
Manage the admissions digital platforms, assisting with copy and content creation for social media and digital advertising
Monitor content and track campaign performance and audience engagement, as well as analyze and report on digital advertising and social media activities
Provide management of assigned undergraduate prospect and applicant pools, assisting high school and transfer students with completing the admissions process. Responsibilities include: evaluation of academic records and creative materials, updating records, and providing outreach and communication to prospects, parents and educators
Qualifications: Education: BFA, BArch or equivalent degree in art, design, or architecture required.
Experience: At least three years related experience in admissions
Knowledge and Skills:
Requires skill in digital media: Must understand KPIs and be able to define them specifically for digital advertising and social media.
Must be able to collaborate with designers and copywriters to provide attractive and informative campaigns
Must be able to provide a visual portfolio review
Other: This position requires evening and week-end work, as well as extensive travel with remote work. The candidate must have a valid drivers license.
