The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Nursing is seeking application for the TDOH Program Manager Position. The Program Manager will be responsible for a range of activities related to the implementation and day-to-day operations, reporting and evaluative processes for the TDOH Community Nurse Navigator Project. Included are activities such as coordination of information, presentations, and communication for various meetings, and university departments, grant team participants (e.g. RN Community Navigators, APRN Director, PI and Co-I); program recruiting, financial management of grant and development of systems/processes that support grant compliance and evaluation reporting; and other duties necessary to successfully implement the project.
Main Job Responsibilities:
Operational and Fiscal Management of Community Nurse Navigator Grant:
Financial accounting and coordination of grant budget/expenditures and development of systems/processes to support grant compliance, data tracking and required reporting.
Oversight, completion, and communication coordination of required state reporting with TDOH, university, and college of nursing (CON) time lines.
Collaboration with and support grant team members to achieve coordinated-productive performance and the highest level of grant quality outcomes practicable.
Solves problems, optimizes processes and functions, scheduling, and tracking. Creates time lines - follows up on deadlines and tracking actions, ensuring processes are completed in timely manner and by agreed-upon dates.
Responsible for entering and tracking travel related expenditures - in compliance with departmental, university and state guidelines and regulations.
Assists as needed with implementation of interventions in communities.
Communication and Grant Team Coordination:
Participate in and/or provide presentations/communication briefings at meetings and/or other gatherings.
Coordinates team meetings, creates minutes and maintains database and data distribution for team members.
Communicates with team members using reminders and follow-up communication to ensure program deadlines are met.
Collaborates with Principal Investigator and CON public relations to ensure timely communication of grant activities publicly and internally (e.g. media, social media) to broad stakeholder base.
Creates PowerPoint and other presentations
Human resource management:
Leads recruitment of staff efforts, complies with university guidelines for personnel evaluation and reviews, ensures time sheets are complete and submitted per university guidelines, manages HR issues and elevates issues to the PI if cannot solve.
