The Graduate School of Arts and Science is seeking an experienced Assistant Director, Admissions Operations to join Graduate Enrollment Services. This individual will manage the day to day operation of the Graduate Enrollment Services Admissions Office; continuously assess and improve operations to ensure GES attracts a diverse pool. Develop ways to enhance efficiencies and improve office productivity. Provide statistical reports on the improvement of admissions resources and the related impact towards achieving enrollment goals. Analyze business processes, procedures, and functions and make recommendations for improvement to the Dean; implement changes and new processes in Slate. This position along with Manager of Information Systems is the primary developer of the admission process within Slate including custom portal development, maintaining process documentations, workflow management, build reports and dashboard, write rules, and CRM process. This role requires working knowledge of data management systems such as PeopleSoft and SLATE, and how to utilize both to transition student information from SLATE to complete student profiles. A developed aptitude for technology, successful experience working in an environment that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask and work in an fast fast deadline driven environment that requires significant data entry over an extended period of time is important.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years progressively responsible experience in a high volume admissions office, including recruitment and staff supervision or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with admission and/or financial aid operations at the college level, and data management systems.
Preferred Experience: Experience managing admissions processing operations for a large college or university.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment and be a team player. Excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to oversee staff. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and data management systems such as PeopleSoft and SLATE. Ability to administer security roles, build workflows, write rules, and build reports and dashboards.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficient in PeopleSoft and SLATE with the ability to transition information to complete student profiles, Knowledge of MS Access.
