The Media Operations Specialist will provide technical leadership and primary support for all Media Services computer needs, including but not limited to: development, implementation, and upkeep of images, software packages, security updates, and related maintenance, preventative measures, and problem solving for all classroom computers, event space computers, lecture capture computers, laptop computers, and all other computers and related software and hardware the Media Services Group uses internally, and for providing service to the law school community. This position will research, test, and make recommendations on computer technology equipment and selection, software, and any other tools that enhance customer services and align with the Media Services group. This position will provide technical media and audio visual support for classrooms, meetings rooms, and special event spaces, equipment troubleshooting, equipment setup and breakdown, and may have to enter appointments for Media Services support staff into our support tracking system and calendaring software. This position will report and present initiatives to media operations directors, and provide other media services technical staff with all pertinent and necessary training on classroom based computer technology and implementation. This position may require the Media Operations Specialist to: provide support for special events, video production projects, distance learning, educational technology projects, and all other projects and tasks and assist any group within the Media Services Department as needed.
The shift for this role is 2:00pm to 10:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 12:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday.
Required Education: Bachelors or higher degree in a related field
Preferred Education: Master's degree; MSCE or MCITP
Required Experience: 2-3 years related technical support and pc/os technical interaction in a fast paced technology services and media organization. Must have experience dealing with high profile clients.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years in general media/audiovisual technical support, 2+ years in computer and networking support (Mac and PC)
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: -Must be familiar with relevant equipment and standard setups and protocols for classrooms and meeting rooms.
-Must be able to work in fast paced environment. Must be able to multi-task. Excellent communications skills and customer service skills.
-In depth knowledge of current operating systems including Windows 7/10, OS X.
-Working and current knowledge and experience with AV and AV over IP control and media management systems.
-Ability to resolve technical problems under pressure with minimum supervision.
-Working knowledge of computer systems and networking.
-Excellent time management and project management skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: -A+ certification, A+ network certification; Working knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Deployment Services
-Crestron programming certification, Crestron program suite experience, Audio DSP programming (Polycom, Avia, etc.), Audinate Dante certification, Adobe Suite programs, and other standard production and post production software and tools.
-Expertise in recent Microsoft office, Apple iOS, Android experience a plus.
-Cable construction, terminations/crimping, and physical installation.
-Expertise in an information technology field, preferably in the areas of media and instructional technologies.
-Demonstrated leadership abilities.

-Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
-Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
-Must be proactive, self-motivated, and possess creative problem solving abilities.
