The Business Operations Associate will support work related to the budget, HR processes, and facilities of the unit, and provide administrative support to the Executive Director. Within the responsibility area of budget, the position will liaise with the central Office of Budget and Planning (OBP). This includes requesting and justifying new positions and providing monthly reporting.  Responsibilities related to HR processes include supporting the hiring process by submitting position evaluation requests, working with HR to schedule interviews, and assisting with unit-wide onboarding processes for all new staff and student employees while supporting these processes for all faculty, and supporting the payroll process as needed. Professionalism and discretion are of the utmost importance. Within the area of facilities, the position will manage the physical spaces owned, leased, or otherwise operated by our unit. This currently consists of 3 locations and may include additional locations going forward. The position also provides support to the Executive Director on items like scheduling meetings, managing logistics on small events, and creating an inclusive and welcoming culture and experience.
