JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Medical Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to all Telehealth appointments, sending telehealth invitations and set up and initiating reminders and phone calls with Telehealth patients during Covid19 pandemic and after.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs patient registration/check-ins, patient collections, insurance and demographic verifications.
2. Prepares and mails new patient applications.
3. Answers phone calls and routes calls and messages through EMR.
4. Schedules interpreters for hearing-impaired patients.
5. Communicates with patients regarding their appointments and wait times.
6. Initiates telehealth patient appointment reminders via phone call, mail, and electronically.
7. Answer appointment line and assist patients with scheduling appointments.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
