The MANAGER OF PROGRAM OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATION, UW MEDICAL CENTER MONTLAKE & NORTHWEST provides program management for UWMC Administration, including management of non-clinical administrative staff located at the UWMC Montlake and Northwest campus locations in the Executive, Administration, Medical Services and Patient Care Services offices.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Management and oversight of the UWMC Policy Center. Position will provide support for regulatory survey activities across both campuses of UWMC and provide support for Volunteer Services at both the Montlake and Northwest campuses, the Entry Screening at the Montlake campus of UWMC.

Direct supervision of the 4-permanent staff of the Lobby Info desk as well as management of the contingency Screener staff.  Management of the non-clinical support staff of the Executive, Administration, Patient Care Services and Medical Services Administration offices in two campus locations.  Will recruit and retain qualified staff, maintain engagement of same through level-loading and offering growth opportunities; ability to continue process

The manager will be required to rotate work sites between the two campus locations. This position will provide back-up support for the Manager of Program Operations, Volunteer Services and senior medical center leaders and their various priority levels.

Position entails general office management to include management of contracts and vendors associated with the function of the Administrative offices (Shred-it, Ricoh, Office Depot, Plantscapes, breakroom supply vendors). 

Will assist in the development and monthly monitoring of multiple operating budgets used by Executive, Administration, Patient Care Services and Medical Staff Administration.

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree - BS or BA

4-5 Year's:

Direct experience in executive/administrative office operations with responsibilities in a large, complex organization.

Must have experience in direct supervision of staff to include hiring, onboarding, training, evaluating performance, corrective actions.

Must have fundamental understanding and aptitude in working with operational budgets, vendors and contracts.

Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy interacting with the general public.

Equivalent experience may substitute for degree

DESIRED:

1-2 years’ experience managing a highly regulated environment or experience working in healthcare environment. 

Experience working with and staffing volunteer-based programs in healthcare or other industries.

Understanding of higher education environment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Requires manager to rotate work sites between the two campus locations.

Must have the ability to travel between UWMC campus locations every other week heavy screen time.

Requires carrying pager; communication tools include in-person, group meetings, telephone, email;

Requires professional appearance as work location is in UWMC Administrative offices at both UWMC Montlake and UWMC Northwest.
