Job Description:
Position Summary
The Project Manager, FPDC will provide total project management administration from facilitation to completion and operation including planning; hiring on consulting Architect/Engineering (A/E) firms to coordinate design with end users and produce permit and bid documents, procure construction services, oversee construction, move management, and readily resolve warranty period issues. The position will at times coordinate and interact with multiple internal and external project partners on highly visible capital projects, internal college renovations, and staff move and relocations. This role requires exceptional customer service as it works closely with College Directors, Deans, Chairpersons, and faculty to develop, implement, complete and operate new and renovated projects, moves and reconfigurations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Management & Project Leadership
Manages consulting A/E design firms, including review of proposals, contracting, and related supervision to assure complex design needs and deliverables are achieved. Reviews design documents and project manuals for compliance with building code, university building design standards and project objectives. Identifies the project team, schedules and manages project team meetings. Develops project schedules and milestones. Actively completes the designed project, through bidding, contractor negotiations, the construction process, and project close out. Maintains College quality standards throughout the project.
Inform and follow college methodology of delivering work in compliance with the Planning, Design and Construction Project Manager's Manual, Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) guidelines, and college standards. Develops project scope, the Program of Requirements, conceptual project estimates, budgets, and deliverables in conjunction with architectural design team and the project end user through schematic, design development, and construction document phases, design a balanced space that meets the user groups requirements, and needs supporting teaching mission of the College.
Relationship Management
Coordinates with College user groups, the architectural team, interior designers, in-house specialists, and related vendors. Functions as liaison to other departments. Maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinates in-house telecom, IT, and security specialists, including external architects, engineers, interior design, furniture representatives, and specialty contractors.
Fiscal & Administrative
Develops and maintains current and accurate budget control documents, analyzes and controls project expenses throughout the project. Invoices and process payment. Researches and collects cost data from vendor and project sources for historical purposes.
Assists with establishing and maintaining the College building design standards database, in collaboration with Design and Construction, and Facility Operations personnel. Supplies timely College space data for new facilities, and remodel spaces, updating flooring as needed and required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: industry standard project management methodologies to direct and manage project development and implementation; AutoCad; familiarity with the OFCC policies and practices. Skill in: verbal and written communications; planning, executing and closing assigned projects according to strategic alignment and priorities; making presentations; planning and coordinating project resources; maintaining project records and documentation; application of job related computer software including Word, Excel and other job-related software programs; operation of job-related equipment including computers and other equipment; routine typing. Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Construction Management or related field. Five (5) years' experience, a proven, demonstrable record of increased project responsibility, working within the private, commercial, State of Ohio or development construction sectors. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
