ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Oversee the Student Recreation program. Work with graduate assistant to ensure quality programming through intramurals and other events. •Supervise the hiring and training process for student staff. •Serve as primary contact for certain sports and their head coaches. Assist the Director in the monitoring of these team’s budgets, scholarships and operations. •Collaborate with Athletic Director to identify capital improvements, program initiatives, staffing models, etc. to help guide the department to maintain competitiveness in the NAIA, WHAC and ACHA •As the Assistant Director, this position will be involved in overall strategies and decision-making as member of senior athletic management team. •Serve as primary contact for game officials for all home contest. Communicate with officials on game protocols, operations, timings, etc. •Work with University administration to successfully guide the Athletic Department in unison of the University’s Strategic plan. •Assist in the process of certifying student athletes by working directly with the registrar, faculty athletic representative, and athletic director in compliance with NAIA, ACHA, and WHAC rules and regulations. •Serve as primary supervisor of the Don Ridler Field House. •Serve on WHAC and NAIA committees on a regular basis. •Serve as game day administrator when necessary. •Assist the Director in the planning of the year end athletic awards banquet. •Work with coaching staff for indoor and outdoor facility scheduling needs. •Monitor needs for the athletic facilities. Work with the department of campus facilities to ensure all work orders are submitted, completed, and finished.
