POSITION SUMMARY:

The Natural Sciences & Mathematics Department at Toccoa Falls College invites applications for a full-time faculty position starting August 1, 2022. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will primarily be tasked with the instruction and oversight of courses in the field of Biology, and can include General Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Nutrition, Global Public Health, Epidemiology, and other topics supporting the Biology degrees offered by Toccoa Falls College.  While proficiency with any of the above classes is valuable, expertise in Anatomy & Physiology is of highest importance. 

TASKS:

Faculty are required to prepare outstanding college/university-level learning experiences in the assigned Biology courses each semester using teaching tools such as PPT presentations, demonstrations, discussions, reading assignments, etc.  Faculty must carefully plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.  Faculty must also be able to provide feedback to the students about their performance on class assignments in a respectful manner to help them improve their understanding, retention, and application of course content.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:  Spiritually mature Christian in agreement with the college statement of faith and committed to the vision, mission and values of Toccoa Falls College.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:  The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree in Biology or an advanced degree in an allied field. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is highly desirable. Candidates with a Master’s degree and relevant experience are also invited to apply.
