The primary purpose of the full time Sr. Administrative Assistant – Business Affairs is to provide administrative support for high level Administrator, involving a wide variety of administrative functions for which the assistant assumes a lead responsibility as the delegate of the administrator.

This position is 22.5 hours per week.

1. Perform duties as needed for departments under the Business Affairs umbrella: Financial Aid, AP/AR, Student Payments, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Maintenance & Operations.
2. Assist with post-award financial administration of grants and contracts, including assisting with tracking receipts, expenditures, etc. Manage with detail, attention, accuracy, and timeliness the spreadsheets and information within Business Affairs, updating each regularly and as information changes.
3. Provide excellent customer service and assist students, visitors, faculty and staff via email, messaging, phone, or in-person, Manage the welcome center on the second floor of the Administration Building.
4. Perform general support duties such as preparing correspondence and memorandums, filing, copying and scanning, distributing mail, answering business office phone, and other general support duties.
5. Provide records and information to auditors as requested.
6. Maintain and organize area calendar and schedule for Chief Business Affairs Officer.
7. Other duties as assigned by Chief Business Affairs Officer.

1. Associate degree and three years related work experience, or equivalent.
2. Excellent customer service skills/soft-skills, attention to detail, use of technology, and communication skills.
3. Ability to multi-task in an open office environment and respond to issues and concerns that affect the department.
4. Discretion in handling high level, confidential materials related to the department.
