Position Summary:Under the general direction of the Plumbing Shop Supervisor, the incumbent of this position is responsible for performing work on plumbing and related mechanical systems in campus buildings and laboratories, performing work on special use systems, and for contributing to the team effort.
This is an essential position that may be called upon in the event of an emergency and/or University closure.

Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working as a plumber following National codes applicable to plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of and experience in a variety of maintenance tasks (e.g., carpentry, construction and electrical trades)
- Aquatic Facility Operator certification.
- State of Idaho HVAC Journeymans license in accordance with Idaho Code Title 54, Chapter 50.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: - Physical ability to: lift and otherwise moves items weighing approximately 60 pounds; climb and work from ladders; bend and stoop.
- Performing work in confined spaces using equipment and appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) as required.
Required Licensures, Certifications or other - Must possess current State of Idaho Journeyman Plumber licenses in accordance with Idaho Code Title 54, Chapters 24 and 26, and IDAPA 07.02.05State of Idaho Backflow Assembly Tester License OR must have the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving University vehicles.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must participate in medical surveillance program as required.
