Tel Aviv University, Israel’s largest and most comprehensive academic institution, is seeking an Outreach Coordinator for Tel Aviv University International North America Office to manage recruitment throughout the U.S. and Canada. TAU International hosts over 3000 international students each year. The position will primarily recruit for semester/year abroad programs, short term, and summer opportunities, as well as full-degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level in a variety of academic disciplines. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for student recruitment as well as developing and maintaining close working relationships with institutional partners, professional contacts, and partner organizations.

Position Description

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): attending in-person and virtual recruiting events including university study abroad fairs, college fairs for high school students, and other relevant industry fairs and conferences; developing relationships with prospective students and families, study abroad offices, faculty and campus organizations, and alumni networks; researching and initiating contact with potential feeder schools and universities; maintaining contact with current partner schools; seeking out and connecting with as campus student groups, campus organizations, and community organizations; assisting with newsletters quarterly for new and existing partners. The Outreach Coordinator will also be responsible for working with our lead-management system (Salesforce) to maintain lead flow, analyze communication data, and help strategize outreach efforts based on system knowledge.

This is a full-time role preferably based in our New York office (remote work from another metropolitan location within the U.S. may be considered). Due to the nature of the study abroad field, additional time beyond regular office hours is to be expected from time to time. The Outreach Coordinator is expected to travel extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, particularly during peak recruitment season (fall, spring) as well as once annually to Israel.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

1-2 years of relevant experience

Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

Experience studying, living, and/or working internationally

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Outstanding intercultural and interpersonal skills with a keen ability to connect and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders

Ability to represent Tel Aviv University in a professional manner

Ability to initiate new and creative recruitment methods

Flexibility and an inclination for collaboration – a team player

Responsible, self-discipline and capable of working independently

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work under pressure

Proficient in technology including Microsoft Office (experience with Salesforce a plus)

Other Requirements

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment. As a condition of employment, candidates are required to provide full proof of COVID-19 vaccination, including a booster, prior to their start date.
