ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, School of Engineering, to perform a variety of administrative duties. Will greet visitors and guests, process travel expense receipts and pay invoices; assist with class preparations; implement or maintain the office filing system; arrange meetings, set up appointments, and plan events; respond to inquiries; edit documents; provide telephone coverage; and handle other general office duties as needed.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years' administrative, office, or related experience; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with people at all levels and from varied backgrounds; keen attention to detail; good judgment, tact, and discretion with confidential information; experience with arranging travel, paying invoices, ordering supplies, account reconciliations, and expense reimbursements; excellent word processing skills, comfort with both PCs and Macs; proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Filemaker Pro, and Cognos; and willingness to learn new software. Must be able to learn quickly, work within critical time demands, demonstrate initiative and flexibility, work independently and as part of a team, prioritize and problem solve, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
