Responsibilities In coordination and alignment with Ambulatory Operations Leadership Teams, you will manage projects that encompass ambulatory care health initiatives, performance measures and metrics, integration, and clinical outcome analytics. You will also participate in the planning, development and implementation of new or enhanced business processes that align with new programs and technological advancements. Your analysis of data will be used to create recommendations in ambulatory care practices inform quality and operational improvement initiatives. Your initiative, originality and judgment in applying established principles and practices to new and unusual problems will be crucial for this role.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Progressive experience in in health system administration, health care planning, business administration, public administration or a satisfactorily equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Extensive project management skills, knowledge and experience with proven project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and develop/manage partnerships, seeking input from others, and creating ad hoc teams as required to address challenging problems.
- Experience handling workflow and designing efficient business processes to continually review and recommend best practices.
- Experience using analytical, research, and other techniques.
- Experience with strategic planning, analytical and program evaluation skills to effectively provide sound recommendations, continually examines systems and develops or revises to accommodate change requirements.
- Thorough understanding of the use of information technology for quality improvement, appreciation of the value of data analytics, and commitment to patient-centered approaches.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical quality improvement strategies and practice facilitation methods for primary care/patient-centered medical home (PCMH) requirements, EMR adoption in primary care settings.
- Skills to analyze complex information or problems in an objective manner and derives logical conclusions to provide a sound basis for establishing priorities, selecting appropriate courses of action for pursuit or recommendations to others, and to resolve conflicts
- Proven ability to compose reports, correspondence and summaries in a comprehensive organized format.
- Experience developing training project plans.
Preferred Qualifications - Masters in Health Care related field.
- Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Knowledge of UCD policies and procedures.
- Ability to articulate and support the UCDHS mission, vision, and values as well as departmental goals.
- Knowledge of outpatient clinic operations, including how the various workflows are affected by and impact the Epic EMR system.
- Knowledge of overall health system operations and specific services provided with each setting.
Special Requirements - This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
