Under the supervision of the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator will administer graduate recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes for Stonehill’s graduate programs. This role requires one to independently execute a variety of functions designed to recruit and enroll qualified applicants, as well as to provide a number of student services to the current graduate students.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the central admissions expert with a deep understanding of all graduate degree programs at Stonehill College. Maintain a deep understanding of each graduate program’s unique requirements and processes.
- Assume primary responsibility for planning and marketing outreach activities including orientations, open houses, information sessions, tours, social media, and the like (involves some physical activity for setting up/breaking down items for activities) both on-campus and off-campus.
- Coordinate current graduate recruitment efforts across the two Schools (Business and Arts & Sciences) and work to enhance and expand future efforts for all graduate programs within the College. Develop recruitment and outreach strategies under the supervision of the Dean of Graduate Studies.
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, providing support on basic programmatic questions and the application process.
- Assist the Dean of Graduate Studies and the Director of International Programs in designing and implementing international student recruitment strategies and supporting the College’s initiatives in internationalizing the curriculum and the student body.
- Conduct an initial review of all application materials to determine eligibility for admission and ensure adherence to the specific program requirements. Make admission decisions regarding applicants that do and do not meet baseline criteria. Communicate with applicants regarding missing or incomplete application materials and notify applicants who do not meet the baseline criteria.
- Represent graduate programs and provide admissions information for recruitment purposes, including coordinating events and representing Stonehill at open houses, and graduate school fairs.
- Serve as a graduate office representative on various committees, as assigned by the Dean.
- Manage tracking, data entry, and analysis of student outreach and support marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with the graduate program directors and academic department chairs to manage enrollment and ensure matriculated student records and degree requirements are maintained and satisfied up to the completion of the degree program.
- Ensure that graduate students receive appropriate and accurate information regarding degree requirements, as well as College policies and Graduate School regulations.
Other Functions
- Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet Graduate Studies’ goals and objectives.
- May assist in coordinating the submission of necessary forms for the graduation.
- Contribute toward creating a positive and respectful workplace.
- Understand and contribute to the implementation of institutional goals for achieving non-discrimination and creating a respectful, inclusive environment that is supportive of diversity.
- Use access to sensitive and/or not yet public university-related information only in the performance of the responsibilities of the position and exercise care to prevent unnecessary disclosure to others.
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, but a Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Keen attention to accuracy and detail.
- Experience and competence with CRM software.
- Over two (2) years of professional experience in higher education, preferably in a Graduate School or graduate admissions office.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals (faculty, staff, students, etc.).
- Ability to work on multiple tasks/projects under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Experience and competence with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations, proposals, reports, memoranda, and correspondence of both technical and confidential nature.
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills to oversee numerous projects at the same time.
- Willingness to contribute to a positive work environment, including respectful and collaborative working relationships.
- Commitment to inclusion and awareness & understanding of diverse thought, cultures, race, gender, and other differences.
