We are seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Athletics Director, Technical Operations. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director, Operations and Events, you will oversee a staff of four (4) and manage day to day technical operations, video boards, web streaming, TV broadcasting, audio systems and coaches film within our athletic facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Oversee the start-up and replacement of equipment.
Research and report latest innovations for in-venue video boards and game-day elements.
Oversee scheduling and part time staff for broadcasting and board shows at home athletic events.
Represent the athletic department and advise in technical areas with the University or outside productions such as live television broadcasts.
Support the athletic department and personnel with answers to technical problems
Oversee all videoboards and scoreboards in our athletic facilities.
Develop strategic plans in equipment and operating budgets for department
Forecast emergent technology trends and implementation.
Oversight of financial budget for equipment, staffing and maintenance.
Point person for Technical Operations Capital Projects within our athletic facilities (videoboard, audio system and camera installs)
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge in analog, digital video, fiber, and audio systems.
Great communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with outside groups, students, faculty, staff.
Experience in supporting game presentation elements and fan experience staff.
Outstanding organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work on deadlines and handle several responsibilities simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of current and emergent audio/video technologies and video production.
Significant independent judgment and self-motivation
