The Director of Recruitment and Admission is responsible for managing all aspects of recruiting, admitting and enrolling first year and transfer students to the undergraduate, residential school at New England College. The person in this position meets revenue goals, provides ongoing analysis, organizes and manages a staff of recruitment and admission counselors, and delivers results.

Develops recruiting and admissions strategies by providing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic enrollment direction, including achieving excess demand and meeting optimal enrollment goals; develops establishes measurable goals in alignment with plan objectives. Meets or exceeds revenue targets.

Establishes strategies and tactics by evaluating trends; developing metrics; formulating customer service approaches; assessing and reworking systems; articulating resource requirements; resolving problems; implementing change as identified, measured, and achievable.

Collaborates throughout the College community and maintains strong relationships with departments; works closely with the alumni office and contributes to marketing, communications, and publications.

Maintains a pipeline of leads, recruits, applicants (first year and transfer); analyzes enrollment trends and modifies activities as necessary; develops the sales strategy for the College’s recruitment and admission activities; measures results.

Maximizes recruiting and admissions operations by using modern, state of the art recruiting and admissions technologies.

Manages staff. Accomplishes personnel management strategies by: setting accountable goals and measuring performance; communicating vertically and horizontally; reinforcing organizational values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, and counseling for current and new staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff contributions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

Experience

Five or more years’ experience as an admissions leader and manager

Proven and demonstrable track record of success

Relevant experience associated with all job duties and responsibilities
