Summary PositionReporting directly to the Associate Vice President and CHRO, the Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for analyzing requirements, design and development of effective people solutions, and alignment of technology with business strategies, working in partnership with Elon Human Resources, the greater Elon community, Information Technology and Finance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop strategy and provide guidance and tactical support for development, implementation, and maintenance of systems to support key human resources initiatives, ensuring the integrity of employee demographic and employment data.
- Engage with community partners to develop and maintain HR data programs supporting each division and department.
- Works collaboratively with IT and other campus partners on enterprise system implementations, system upgrades and process improvements.
- This includes but is not limited to researching new system functionality or changes to existing functionality, conducting fit-gap analysis to identify the impact of changes on existing HR processes, creating test plans and coordinating the testing effort, providing recommendations to address issues and to take advantage of new technology and assure best practices and developing and leading training efforts to ensure end users can utilize the HR systems.
- Develops queries, reports, and forms using available tools and systems. Creates reports to audit and ensure data integrity within the Colleague ERP system. Creates and maintains processes and procedures; performs periodic audits; responds to information requests from various departments and colleges/schools on campus; and monitors changes to ensure compliance with federal, state or University requirements. Uses Access, Excel, PowerPoint or any other means to create presentation quality reports in user friendly formats.
- Manages, coaches, mentors, and motivates staff and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Evaluates staff performance; develops team goals and objectives.
Education RequirementsBachelors degree from four-year college or university required; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Advanced degree; experience with HR data, systems, and metrics; direct experience with Ellucian Colleague or equivalent ERP systems; and experience in a higher education or large nonprofit setting.
