Position Title: Administrative Assistant, Sponsored Projects Services

The Sponsored Projects Services (SPS) department within the Office of the Vice President for Research, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support and to ensure efficient operation of the department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Process incoming and outgoing mail
Manage shared folders for Payment requests submitted that are processed in SPS
Process SPS Payments
Manage shared SPS email boxes for communications from external and internal customers
Triage phone calls
Maintain office calendar
Track and order office equipment and supplies in university procurement systems
Sponsored Projects Services partners with the university community to prepare and submit proposals for sponsored funding and provides stewardship of awarded funds to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies. This position allows the incumbent to learn about various aspects of sponsored research administration and university procurement.

3 or more years of experience in a business setting
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Competent with various computer software applications
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in a diverse deadline-driven environment
Associate Degree in Business or related field and 5 years of experience
