Position responsible to maintain facilities, areas and offices in Residential Life managed buildings as assigned. Position will support and needs associated with the evening utility housekeeper tasks and the overnight housekeeper tasks as assigned.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities on these shifts include cleaning Health Services and the Residential Life Center (annex).
Dust mopping and damp mopping tile floors at the Lofts residential area.
Monitoring outdoor tables/chairs/trash/recycling at the frequently used areas throughout the residential area.
Daily communication with evening housekeeping supervisor is crucial to correct any issues concerning an assignment, a building, or problem with supplies and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
An understanding of how to lift properly, bend properly, and support your back muscles when performing this position is paramount.
This position requires frequent standing and walking.
Candidate must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 75 pounds to waist level when needed, and up to 50 pounds to shoulder level or at least to a five foot height frequently throughout a typical day.
All candidates must be able to work their scheduled shift time.
Position needs to be able to maintain water-filled batteries for the vehicle (golf cart type) that is used to perform the tasks of this position.
Position needs to safely drive the required vehicle in accordance of the University rules and regulations.
Candidate must have sufficient communication skills, written and verbal.
Self-motivated person that can take direction however works independently and strives to achieve very high personal and departmental standards.
Less than high school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
$15.25 - $19.57 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
